“I was outside India, as a student, for more than 5 years. I had been around a diverse set of people who had little to no idea about ramzan.” Said Seher Iqbal, a PhD scholar and a social entrepreneur.

“I used to live with Europeans in a house and they used to ask me why I waited in front of a table full of food for about 15 minutes before starting to eat. I explained them the whole idea and motive behind this holy month,” said Seher, 35, a mother of two.

“I remember once, my mother called me just 10 minutes before iftaar and when I finished speaking with her, I discovered that my iftaar spread was missing, my friends hid my food from me as a joke. It was quite funny.”
