“You’re temporarily blocked from posting,” an official message from Facebook read. “This temporary block will last for 24 hours, and you won’t be able to post on Facebook until it’s finished.”

The social networking site has also removed the cover page of the latest issue of Kashmir Ink which was shared on its official Facebook page on Friday evening. The latest issue has detailed stories covering a year after militant commander Burhan Wani’s death in last year’s July.

“We removed the post below because it doesn’t follow the Facebook Community Standards,” the message from Facebook read. “Please bear in mind that people who repeatedly post things that aren’t allowed on Facebook may have their accounts permanently disabled”.

“This is completely unjustified. Facebook has not only removed the front cover image of our latest issue from Facebook, but also blocked the official Facebook Page of Kashmir Ink. We had Burhan Wani on our front cover earlier in the year as well, but the official Facebook page was not blocked neither was the cover image removed as it has been now without giving any prior intimation and reasons, ” said Majid Maqbool, the Executive Editor of Kashmir Ink.

“We did not receive any message from Faecbook before the official page of Ink was blocked and front cover image of the latest issue was removed online.”

” Our official page should be restored soon so that our online readers are able to see and access the latest issue,” he added.
