Srinagar, (IANS): Mobile Internet services were restored in the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday evening after being suspended for a day. But authorities said that six educational institutions will be closed on Thursday to foil possible street protests.
The mobile Internet services were suspended on Tuesday after security forces killed Pakistani militant Abu Dujana in Hakripora village in Pulwama district.
On Wednesday, officials said Amar Singh College, S.P. College, S.P. Higher Secondary School, Gandhi College, Islamia College and M.P. Higher Secondary School will remain closed in Srinagar on Thursday.
All educational institutions remained closed on Wednesday across the Kashmir Valley.
Train services both in the Valley and between Bannihal in Jammu region and Baramulla in the Valley also were shut.
