Damascus : Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Muallem is scheduled to launch a tour Sunday of the Arab Maghreb countries to forward Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad’s invitations to attend the Arab Summit, due in Damascus end of March 2008.
Syrian Foreign Ministry sources said in a statement to the press today that Al-Muallem will launch his tour with a stop in Libya, followed by Tunis, Morocco, and finally Algeria, where he will forward invitations to Arab leaders.
There were invitations to leaders of Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, and the Palestinian President.
