Pepe Jeans ties up with Renault’s F1 team

Mumbai : Leading casual wear brand Pepe Jeans London Ltd said it has signed up with Renault Formula 1 racing team as one of its worldwide sponsors for the next three years.

In a press statement released here Monday, it said Pepe’s sponsorship deal would include prominent on-car branding, drivers’ suits front-chest branding, team uniforms, garage panelling, drivers’ appearances and more.

“It makes us very proud to be a part of the Renault F1 team. We shall keep the energy and enthusiasm of Renault alive in India,” said Chetan Shah, managing director of Pepe Jeans London (India) Ltd.

“With the rising fan following of F1 worldwide and now in India too, it’s a great union.”

With the biggest global TV audience for any event or sport (2.73 billion in 2007), 18 races across 4 continents, this Formula 1 partnership will be the most visible branding exercise globally that Pepe Jeans has undertaken to date, said Shah.
