Sydney : Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds has done a u-turn and now says that he might tour Pakistan though security remains an issue there, the media reported Thursday.
“The door is ajar but you know where I stand on it,” Symonds was quoted as saying in the Daily Telegraph. Symonds said he had long held a stance that safety was the most important issue and he was against going on the tour.
He said that if Cricket Australia’s security experts gave clearance and administrators urged him to make the tour he would have to make a decision at the time.
“At the time that happens I’ll have to make a decision that I have to standby,” he said.
The all-rounder had earlier said that he intended to skip the tour because of safety reasons.
