Surat : At least 16 people were Thursday crushed to death by a train near Surat in Gujarat.
The incident occurred near Udhna, about three kilometres from Surat, on the Surat-Mumbai track, according to reports reaching here.
The people were reportedly walking on the railway track to reach Surat station and catch the Taptiganga Express bound for Varanasi.
