London : British men snared five of the six wild cards announced here for the Wimbledon Championships starting in a fortnight.
The only exception to the home rule was Dutchman and 2006 junior champion Thiemo de Bakker, who got a free entry into the main draw of the Grand Slam.
The others on the list include Britons Jamie Baker, Richard Bloomfield, Alex Bogdanovic, Joshua Goodall and Jonathan Marray.
Two more men's wild cards remain to be awarded, but not before Friday, with one left for women before the June 25 start.
Women's cards went to: Britons Elena Baltacha, Naomi Cavaday, Anne Keothavong and Melanie South.
Also awarded: Viktoriya Kutuzova of the Ukraine, Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Dane Caroline Wozniacki, winner of the junior girls a year ago.
