New Delhi : A 15-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death by his friend in west Delhi after a fight broke out between them, police said Wednesday.
Vipin Kumar was rushed to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Hospital authorities informed the police.
According to police, Vipin, who lived in Raghubir Nagar, had left his home Tuesday evening on the pretext of buying new clothes.
“The victim was passing through the area when he was met by his friend. The duo exchanged heated arguments over some issue and a scuffle broke out between them. The assailant reportedly hit Vipin, who fell on a sharp-edged stone,” a police official said.
“He died of head injuries before being taken to hospital. We have launched the investigation to nab the accused,” the official added.
Police, however, refused to divulge the identity of the accused, but said he was over 18 years old.
