Putrajaya : Malaysia under Barisan Nasional (BN) will continue to receive large foreign investment, said Wanita UMNO Chief Rafidah Aziz.
“As long as the BN rules the country, foreign investment will continue to pour into the country as they know Malaysia’s competitiveness,” she told reporters at Seri Perdana on Sunday.
Rafidah was asked to comment on whether the BN’s defeat in the five states in the just-concluded general election would have an impact on foreign investors.
She said the government would continue with its business-friendly policy.
She added the opposition would not dare to change the policy in the states which they rule as this would only chase away investors from the states.
Citing Penang state, which is now under DAP, Rafidah said if they change the policy, the state would suffer economic ramifications.
She assured investors that they could still come to Malaysia as they had ample choice of places to locate their investment.
