Kabul : A suicide car bombing targeting a Western convoy killed four civilians and wounded one foreign soldier in the west of Afghan capital Kabul Saturday.
Eight civilian vehicles and one military vehicle were damaged in the attack.
Most foreign soldiers operating in Kabul belong to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). The ISAF press officer said he had no immediate information about the incident. "We are still gathering information," he said.
No one has claimed responsibility, but Taliban militants have been carrying out similar attacks frequently.
A suicide bombing killed nine Afghan civilians and one ISAF soldier in the southern Uruzgan province Friday.
Due to rising Taliban-linked insurgency, over 2,100 people have been killed in Afghanistan this year.
