Athens : Athens supports rights of all countries for peaceful use of nuclear energy based on NPT and opposes proliferation of weapons of mass destruction worldwide.
Greek Foreign Ministry spokesman G. Kovmoutsakos told Iran’s Charge D’Affaires to Greece Mahmoud Fazeli on Wednesday that Athens considers dialogue as the only way for settlement of differences.
Kovmoutsakos said Greek people feel themselves very attached to Iranian people and civilizations.
He said his country is interested in continuation of cooperation with Iran.
Hailing high public turnout in the March 14 parliamentary elections in Iran, Kovmoutsakos said naturally public participation gives legitimacy to outcome of the elections.
“Iran is an independent state and no person and authority has the right to question its independence and national sovereignty,” he concluded.
