Pakistan to attend Int’l Tourism exhibition in June

Beijing : Pakistan has been invited to participate in the 2008 Beijing International Tourism Exhibition (BITE) being held at the first half of this year. Revealing the details of the exhibition the Deputy Director General of Beijing Tourism Administration (BTA) Mrs Xiong Yumei said that the exhibition would be held between June 19 to 21.

Another senior official Mrs. Gu Xiao Yue speaking on the occasion said that invitations for the exhibitions have also been extended to a number of countries and region for their participation.

Last year, a high level delegation from Pakistan led by Secretary Tourism Shahid Rafi took part in the BITE.

Prominent Tourist operators from Pakistan accompanied the Secretary Tourism who also established their stalls at the Pakistan’s pavilion set up by Ministry of Tourism.

The Pakistan pavilion also received best award.

Shahid Rafi on the occasion also held talks with the senior officials of BTA for cooperation in promotion of tourism between the two countries.
