Bhopal : At least four dacoits of a gang active on the Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh border area were killed in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district Saturday, the police claimed.
The police and the gang had a gun battle near Chambal river early Saturday, Superintendent of Police Niranjan Baingankar told IANS on phone.
The police surrounded the members of Guddan Kachhi gang who were hiding in a forest, he said.
A trader, Keshav Jain, abducted from Bhind earlier this month, has also been released.
