Taher Nono, spokesman of the ex-government, which was sacked by Abbas, said in a statement that Hamas had hoped Abbas’ address would aimed at unity away from disputes between parties.

Abbas’ speech was “full of mistakes and contradict with spirit of Sanaa Declaration which was signed by the movements of Fatah and Hamas to defuse tension,” he said.

Nono accused Abbas of controlling the financial resources of the Palestinian Authority and banning Gaza Strip from money.

The Hamas former government warned against any maneuver around the right of the Palestinian people to return to their original home land.
