Two Palestinians killed, two injured in Israeli incursion mid Gaza

Gaza : Two Palestinians were killed early on Tuesday and two others were injured during an Israeli incursion in Salqa valley in the middle of Gaza Strip.

Local radio stations said the Israeli forces penetrated the valley, adjacent to the Israeli border, supported by tanks and military vehicles, and involved in fighting with some armed Palestinians, then burst into a number of houses and turned them into makeshift bases to launch missiles.

Two armed Palestinians were killed during the clashes. They were identified as Abdullah Al-Loh, 30 years old, and Yahya AL-Barraq, 27 years old. Two others were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

The killed armed men belong to Izz-Eddine Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas, who were facing the Israeli forces, along with members from different factions.

The Israeli Army spokesman stated the troops penetrated the Salqa valley, near Deer Al-Balah town mid Gaza. They arrested a number of Palestinians and handed them to security authorities for interrogation.

He said the clashes did not result in any casualty on the Israeli side.
