Ahmedabad : Fast bowler Dale Steyn snared five wickets as South African speedsters crippled India and bowled them out for a paltry 76 in their first innings in just 20 overs at the Sardar Patel Stadium (Gujarat), Motera here Thursday.
Only two Indian batsmen – Irfan Pathan (21) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (14) – managed double-digit scores after captain Anil Kumble won the toss and decided to bat.
The three-man South African pace attack ripped apart the Indian innings with Makhaya Ntini bagging three wickets and Morne Morkel capturing two.
