Bangalore : Naresh Chandra Agarwal Thursday took over as the new director of design and development in Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL).
Agarwal took over from M.S. Nadgir.
“With so many design projects, both in fixed and rotary wing, my focus will be on consolidation, to effectively manage and organise teams to move ahead in all projects. The consolidation mode will also ensure meeting time schedules,” said Agarwal, soon after assuming office.
Agarwal, a graduate in mechanical engineering from IIT Kanpur, was a member of the core team that achieved the first flight of the Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT) in 20 months. He was also associated with the Light Combat Aircraft project and Jaguar upgrades.
