New Delhi : India is watching "closely" the air wing developed by Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger guerrillas, Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Fali Homi Major said in remarks televised Tuesday.
Asked about the newly acquired air power of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), Air Chief Marshal Major told NDTV: "Even a miniscule capability should be looked at closely.
"It is a matter of concern but not of alarm. We are watching the situation closely and taking steps to prevent any incident," he added.
The LTTE unveiled its air wing in March with a sudden night attack on Sri Lanka's main air base close to Colombo. It has carried out more attacks without suffering any loss.
