Paris : The Immigration and National Identity Minister in France announced his order to legalize hundreds of workers without identification papers on a case by case analysis.
It would not be fair to accept mass regularization since that would be against the interests of legal immigrants who do everything correctly in our country, declared Hortefeux to France Info radio station.
Over 600 undocumented workers are joining protests and strikes in this capital and others since April, demanding response to their demands, many of them with many years working here.
They are supported by the General Labor Confederation (CGT) whose general secretary Bernard Thibault, as well as other trade union leader, Francois Chereque from the CFDT has organized demonstration of support so far this month.
On March 1st the workers organizations joined the issue of people without identity papers to the march in which they also launched a savage attack on government reforms dealing with retirement, secondary education and about the crisis in acquisitive power.
