Bhopal : Narendra Singh Tomar, president of the Madhya Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Wednesday said he would not contest the assembly polls slated to take place later this year.
He said the BJP retaining power was more important for him than gaining power for himself.
Talking to reporters after a two-day meeting of the state BJP executive, Tomar said his decision was voluntarily and there was no pressure from party leaders.
