Greater Noida : A woman was killed and dozens injured Wednesday when a staff bus of computer peripherals manufacturer Moser Baer overturned as the driver tried to avoid an oncoming vehicle.
The bus driver, in a bid to avoid a Tempo coming from the opposite direction, swerved to the right but could not assess the road divider due to poor visibility owing to the dust storm that gripped the capital city and adjoining areas in the morning.
It crashed into the divider and overturned on the Noida-Dadri road, a witness said.
Parul Mishra, a 25-year-old senior executive, died on the spot while about a dozen people sustained injuries and were admitted to the Kailash Hospital here.
Bus driver Sharad Yadav fled the accident scene, said superintendent of police (rural) Babu Ram.
