London : Top seed Justine Henin kept her focus through a low-key opening week in her bid for a first Wimbledon title, reaching the women's singles fourth round Friday with the cumulative loss of just 11 games.
The Belgian, who lifted a fourth career French Open title earlier this month, secured her third-round win 6-1, 6-3 over Russian Elena Vesnina.
The contest was interrupted for more than an hour by a passing torrential rainstorm.
World number one Henin struck 17 winners against only nine errors and broke four times in a match lasting 52 minutes.
Henin, 25, has won six Grand Slam titles – but they do not include Wimbledon. She lost the final last year to Amelie Mauresmo and was beaten by Venus Williams in 2001.
"It's been good for me this week. I had pretty easy matches, but it was good coming from Eastbourne (where she won a second-straight grass title)," said Henin.
"I'm very happy the way I played, very aggressive, very consistent. It's been pretty good.
"It's going to be a long weekend now, but I'm glad I'm in the fourth round."
Henin has been playing with black taping on her right leg, apparently to battle a case of tendinitis in her right foot.
