The booklet, containing allegations against Patil with regard to a cooperative bank and a sugar mill linked to her as well as her brother's alleged involvement in a murder case, was compiled by former union minister Arun Shourie. It was released Thursday by Shourie and BJP spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad at their daily media briefing.

Congress spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told newsmen Friday that 80 percent of the booklet's contents were compiled from the memorandum submitted by the sugar factory workers union and 20 percent from the Reserve Bank of India reports.

"These have been cleverly mixed," he said.
