Iran’s foreign ministry in a statement Wednesday said the Swiss embassy was told that the terror group in the US, responsible for the April 12 mosque blast in the southern city of Shiraz, has plans to carry out similar activities in Iran.

Switzerland looks after US interests in the Islamic country since Washington severed its diplomatic ties with Tehran in 1980.

According to the statement, the Swiss diplomat was also told that the group inside the US “is using media and internet facilities to attract terrorists, supply them financial resources, train and dispatch them into Iran”.

“The group has also accepted the responsibility of the blast and other terrorist acts in Iran,” the ministry said.

The ministry urged the US government to act upon its international obligations against terrorism and also extradite their leaders to Iran for executing justice.
