Moscow : Two people were killed after a light plane crashed in the Moscow Region, the regional emergencies center said on Sunday.
“A Yak-52 training plane crashed while approaching to land at 12:26 p.m. [8:26 a.m. GMT] [Sunday] at the Myachkovo airfield in the Kolomna district [south-east of Moscow]. Two people on board the plane died,” the emergencies center said.
The plane fell on the ground before reaching the runway strip and burst into flames, the emergencies center said.
Work is under way to investigate the causes of the air crash, the emergencies center said.
