Small explosions in Pakistan kill two, wound five

Islamabad : Two women were killed and six people were wounded in a series of small bomb explosions in several parts of Pakistan on Friday.

A landmine explosion in Jafrabad district of Southwestern Baluchistan province killed two women and wounded another, police sources told KUNA.

In another district of Baluchistan, Awrann, two bombs ripped through the office of District Coordination Officer, sources said, adding that the blast did not cause any human loss but badly damaged the office and a fire broke out.

Also, a remote-controlled bomb exploded inside a hotel in Gujrat city of eastern Punjab province.

Police sources said the explosion occurred in the hotel kitchen and left a ten feet crater in the ground. They added that windows of hotel and several nearby buildings were shattered.

They added that the explosion critically wounded five people, who were rushed to the hospital.

In another incident, a bomb exploded inside a music shop in northern Malakand division of Pakistan.

Sources said no human loss was reported but the explosion badly damaged the shop.
