Dublin (Ohio) : An error-filled four-over 76 left Daniel Chopra in a tough position to make the weekend cut at the Memorial. The Indo-Swede, who is 25th on the PGA Tour money list, is tied for 78th place.
Matthew Goggin Thursday took just nine putts on his back nine to card a seven-under 65 and leads the pack, one ahead of Jerry Kelly and Kenny Perry.
Goggin holed out a bunker shot for birdie on the par-3 fourth, then ended his round with a 12-footer for par from off the green, as he needed just 22 putts for his round.
American Phil Mickelson, coming off a victory at the Colonial, had an even-par 72.
