New Delhi : A man impersonating as a Rajya Sabha MP was arrested from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters here Monday.
According to police, Pramood Kumar was arrested after he tried to sneak into the office of CBI Director Vijay Shankar in the evening.
Kumar hails from Cuttack in Orissa and claims to belong to the Congress party, police said.
Kumar came to Shankar's office by reportedly stating that he was a Rajya Sabha MP from Orissa and wanted to meet him over some issue, but when the CBI checked his credentials, he was found to be an impersonator.
He was then handed over to police that are interrogating the matter.
"We have arrested the accused and are interrogating him for his act," Deputy Commissioner of Police Anil Shukla told IANS.
