Seven people killed in road accident near Ukrainian capital

Kiev : Seven people were killed and two seriously injured in a car crash near the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, involving a mini-bus and a road-cleaning truck, the emergencies ministry said on Wednesday.

“The driver of a Ford-Transit private mini-van with eight passengers on board lost control of the vehicle and hit a road-cleaning truck on the Borispol-Kiev highway,” the ministry said in a report.

According to the report, a total of 126 road accidents occurred in Ukraine in the last 24 hours, killing at least 16 people and injuring 156.
