Kathmandu : Nepal’s three leading parties in the Constituent Assembly (CA) Sunday decided to form a joint panel to suggest ways to end the current political deadlock.
The six-member panel includes two representatives from each of the three parties, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M), the Nepali Congress (NC) and the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN-UML).
The panel is expected to form a draft for amending the interim constitution to resolve the deadlock over power-sharing, according to Nepalnews.com.
The panel has been asked to submit its suggestions within two days.
The party leaders have vowed to end the deadlock by Tuesday, ahead of Wednesday’s meeting of the assembly.
