Guruvayoor (Kerala) : Sri Lanka’s Leader of Opposition Ranil Wickramasinghe and his wife Sunday paid a quiet visit to the famed Sree Krishna temple at Guruvayoor in Kerala.
Arriving at 5 a.m., the former prime minister passed off unnoticed despite his security as he prayed at the temple.
“This is the second time that he and his wife have come to pray. He made an offering of plantains and also money at the temple. It was a purely personal visit,” a temple official told IANS.
Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has also visited the temple and offered prayers.
