Kabul : Afghan police have killed seven Taliban militants in the southern Zabul province, a local official said Wednesday.
The police fought back, killing seven militants and injuring six, he said, adding there were no casualties of the police.
Meanwhile, a clash on Tuesday injured seven Taliban rebels and two policemen in the central Ghazni province, provincial police chief Alishah Ahmadzai said.
Rising Taliban insurgency has led to the death of over 2,600 people, mostly Taliban militants, this year.
