Haddin keeps wickets despite broken finger

Melbourne : Australia’s wicketkeeper Brad Haddin has endured the pain of a broken finger to play the third Test against the West Indies Friday.

The main concern over the finger Haddin broke in the first Test in Jamaica was that it became badly infected and the nail had to be removed.

“The break is uncomfortable but that’s something you can deal with,” Haddin was quoted as saying in the Daily Telegraph.

“It was the infection that was giving me the grief, but now I have got rid of that, it’s fine. If every wicketkeeper stopped playing every time they got a knock on the finger, there would be a change of wicketkeepers every Test match,” he said. t
