Itanagar : At least 14 people were killed and 30 injured in a series of landslides in Arunachal Pradesh Saturday following incessant rain.
There were seven deaths reported from Naharlagun, six from Itanagar, and one in Banderdewa.
Papumpare Deputy Commissioner Bidul Tayeng said about 30 houses in the area, including concrete structures, have collapsed in landslides. The death toll in the landslides is likely to mount as conditions of many of the injured are stated to be serious.
