New Delhi : The government Thursday extended the term of the second Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) by seven months till March 31 next year.
"The second ARC was set up to prepare a detailed blueprint for revamping the public administration system. Implementation of its reports is bound to improve service delivery," union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters after a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
"The ARC has submitted five reports and proposes to submit 14 reports on various aspects of administrative reforms by March 31, 2008," he said.
