Sharjah : A total of 382 people have been arrested here on charges of violating the entry and residency law, WAM news agency reported Tuesday.
Abdullah Ali bin Sahoo, director of the Department of Naturalisation and Residency, said his office would “continue the inspection campaign to bring violators to book”.
He warned that the institutions and individuals who employ and provide shelter to absconding workers would face legal charges.
The arrests, made from May 20 to June 22, are a part of the department’s campaign against the country’s illegal workforce.
