Harkat-ul-Mujahideen terrorist arrested

New Delhi : A suspected Pakistan-trained terrorist of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen outfit who carried a reward of Rs.25,000 on his head has been arrested here, the police said Tuesday.

Habibur Rehman of Uttar Pradesh was arrested Monday evening from Sarai Kale Khan area, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar told IANS.

Rehman had escaped in 2001 when two of his Pakistani accomplices were arrested smuggling eight kilograms of explosives into the capital. The police said Rehman had provided logistic support to them.

According to the police, Rehman received arms training in Pakistan in 1999.
