Silverstone (Britain) : Kimi Raikkonen in a Ferrari was quickest in the second free practice session at Silverstone Friday ahead of Sunday's British Formula One Grand Prix.
Championship leader Lewis Hamilton in a McLaren-Mercedes was quickest in the opening free session but the Ferraris of Raikkonen and teammate Felipe Massa reigned supreme in the afternoon session.
The Finn, who was second fastest behind Hamilton in the first practice session, clocked a time of one minute 20.639 seconds for the 5.141-kilometre circuit, beating Massa by 0.499 seconds.
Toyota's Ralf Schumacher and Hamilton both registered the third quickest time of 1:21.381 with Jarno Trulli fifth fastest in the second Toyota.
Defending world champion Fernando Alonso in the second McLaren could only manage sixth fastest with the German Williams driver Nico Rosberg seventh.
Alexander Wurz of Austria in a Williams, Red Bull's Mark Webber and Anthony Davidson of Super Aguri completed the top 10.
In the drivers' championship, Hamilton leads with 64 points, 14 clear of Alonso, with Massa on 47 and Raikkonen on 42.
Sunday's British Grand Prix is the ninth of 17 races in the championship.
