Amman : A Russian cargo jet, laden with 80 tons of food and medicines for the Palestinian people, has landed at the Amman Civil Airport.
Mohammed Majed Al Eitan, the secretary-general of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, praised the Russian role in the peace process and its continued support for the Arab issues, the forefront of which is the Palestinian cause.
This aid, donated by the Russian federal government — the third planeload this week– is to alleviate the Palestinian people’s sufferings from lack of food and medicines due to the Israeli siege imposed against them, Eitan said Tuesday.
