Tehran : Iran said it would respond Friday to the package of incentives offered by five Security Council members and Germany (P5+1), official IRNA news agency reported.
Saeed Jalili, secretary of Supreme National Security Council and the country’s chief nuclear negotiator, told European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana over the telephone Tehran’s response to the package and its reply to the letters of foreign ministers of P5+1 countries would be delivered Friday.
The P5+1 package which was presented last month by Solana to Tehran includes financial and political incentives and was offered in a bid to dissuade Tehran from uranium enrichment activities.
Jalili said based on the discussions with Solana his government has responded “with an approach of concentrating on commonalities and with a constructive and creative attitude”.
Iran has repeatedly refused to suspend its enrichment activities but said it was ready to discuss any other issues with the West.
