New Delhi : The Indian Women's Hockey Federation (IWHF) Tuesday announced the names of 36 players who are in a preparatory camp for the sixth Asia Cup and an Olympic qualifying tournament early next year.
All the players have reported on time for the camp that started in Lucknow Sunday. The preparations will continue till August 27, the IWHF said. The teams will be selected from the participants.
The sixth Asia Cup will be held Hong Kong from September 1-9 while the Olympic qualifying tournament will be played in April-May. The venue was not announced.
Camp participants:
Goal-keepers: Dipika Murthy, Poonam Toppo, Rajni Bala, Marita Tirkey, Jasdeep Kaur and Suniti Kispotta
Defenders: Binita Toppo, Pushpa Pradhan, Nilima Kujur, Suman Bala, Rajwinder Kaur and Anjana Barla
Mid-fielders: Subhadra Pradhan, Gagandeep Kaur, T. Ranjita, Iti Shrivastava, Mukta P. Barla, Asunta Lakra and Joydeep Kaur
Forwards: Deepika Thakur, Saba Anjum, Ritu Rani, Binita Xess, Rijuta Mullick, Mamta Kharab, Surinder Kaur, T. Anuradha Devi, Rosalin Ralte, A. Manorama Devi, Lalremruati, Harpreet Kaur, S. Ranjita, Poonam Singh, Simerjeet Kaur, Jasjeet Kaur and Kirandeep Kaur
