“The rebels in a gruesome act snaked into a house in Qarabagh district Monday night and brutally gunned down four brothers for serving as police,” the press release added.

It also added that the rebels took away the father of the family to unknown locations.

Police have launched a search operation to rescue the ill-fated father from the custody of the insurgents, it further said.

Taliban outfit that has yet to make comment has been intimidating government employees to give up their jobs.

Ghazni province witnessed Taliban-related violence and conflicts over the past weeks while Osman Osmani, the governor of Ghazni province, has warned that Taliban fighters have gathered in the province and were trying to use it as the frontline to mount pressure on Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

Militancy and conflicts have left more than 2,300 people including over 700 civilians dead since January this year in Afghanistan.
