“Prime Minister Manmohan Singh took a good decision to go ahead with the India-US nuclear deal. But I was disgusted with the disruptions and allegations and counter-allegations over horse-trading that occurred during the course of the session,” he said.

Asked to comment on the number of votes the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government got, the Amethi MP said: “I was never worried about the figure.”

There were 275 votes in favour of the government while 256 MPs voted against it in the trust vote.
