Kolkata : City-based FMCG major Emami Limited’s profit after tax (PAT) grew by 13 percent during the first quarter of the current fiscal compared to the corresponding period last fiscal, a company statement said here Friday.
PAT grew to Rs.110 million in the first quarter of the current fiscal from Rs.98.9 million in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The turnover of the company stood at Rs.1.23 billion, which is a 17 percent rise compared to the comparable period of last fiscal.
The first quarter of the financial year witnessed consistent growth across its power brands.
The international business of the company, coming mainly from the Middle East and Africa, grew by 42 percent during the quarter compared to the corresponding period in the last fiscal.
