Although the police have not ruled out involvement of terrorist organizations, Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar M. Bidari has been reported as saying that “miscreants” had triggered the blasts to disrupt peace.

Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa announced, after an emergency Cabinet meeting, that no “hard core terrorist group” was involved in the blasts. He said those who are behind the blasts wanted to bring disrepute to the government.

TwoCircles.net talked to various Muslim organizations across the country in order to know their reactions.

What was common in their stand is the unequivocal condemnation of the blasts in strong words. Every organization categorically condemned the serial blast as a cowardly act aimed at perpetrating terror. The organizations included Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (Karnataka), Muslim Muttahida Tahrik Karnataka, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (Karnataka), Karnataka Forum for Dignity (Karnataka), Movement for Peace and Justice (Maharashtra), Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam, Imarat Shariah (Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa), Karnataka Muslim Muttahida Mahaz (Karnataka).

Dr. M. Jawahirullah, president of Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam, said that it was a cowardly attempt of the forces that don’t have any interests in the peaceful and communally harmonious atmosphere in the high-tech city.

General Secretary of Imarat Shariah (Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa), Anisur Rahman Quasmi, pointed out that these blasts occur precisely because of the laziness of the investigative agencies.

He further said another reason for the recurrence of blasts is the fact that there has not been thorough and conclusive enquiry of any of the blasts, be it the Ghatkopar bomb blasts, Makka Mosque blast in Hyderabad, blast in Ajmer dargah, Nanded blast in Maharashtra, or Jaipur serial blasts.

Dr. Jawahirullah of TMMK pointed out that there has been a typical pattern followed by the investigative agencies in India after every case of terror attacks or blasts irrespective of the complexity of the case.

Immediately after such terror blasts, either SIMI is blamed or name of an unknown organization is floated and blame is put on it.

After six months of every blast, the case is buried by the investigative agencies, says Anisur Rahman Quasmi. For instance he says no one questions what happened to the enquiry of Jaipur serial bomb blasts. That is why they demanded the Central government to order a thorough enquiry by any independent agency.

Dr. Jawahirullah demands that the enquiry should be done by the Federal Agency that the Prime Minister recently referred to.

On the issue of the involvement of SIMI or any other organization they point out that first of all we need to do thorough investigation in the blast cases, something which unfortunately has not been done.

The Muslim organizations have appealed to the investigative agencies not to draw conclusions without going into proper enquiry and not to blame any particular community.

Mukhtar Ahmad, president of KMMT, pointed out that from these blasts one thing is quite evident and noteworthy: these blasts have not served any Muslim cause, rather they have been victimized after such blasts.

It is high time that the government and the investigative agencies noticed the forces which have benefited from these acts, and investigate in this direction also.

Mukhtar says that there is a section of people in India who survive on the panic and Islamophobia created in organized and strategic pattern in the post-blasts and post-terror attacks period.

He said what came out after investigation into blasts in Nanded and Tenkasi must not be ignored.

The Muslim organizations have appealed to the media not to jump to conclusions regarding the responsibility for the blasts without any proof.
