Surat : Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday met the police commissioner and other senior officials of this city to review the situation following the recovery of 22 unexploded bombs over three days.
Accompanied by Panchayat Minister Narottam Patel and Director General of Police (DGP) P.C. Pande, Modi also visited five of the places from where the live bombs were found – and later defused.
He held extensive meetings with Surat Police Commissioner R.M.S. Brar as well as the collector, mayor and the municipal commissioner of the city.
On Saturday, a series of 21 bombs exploded across Ahmedabad killing at least 50 people and injuring 200.
