Islamabad : Local Taliban militants Wednesday shot and killed a local senior government official and wounded three others in a northwestern a Pakistani tribal town.
District Account Officer (DAO) Arif Hussain Shah was on his way to office when unknown gunmen opened fire at him in Dera Ismail Khan district, said police sources.
They said he died on the spot while three passers-by were also wounded.
Police said it has registered a case against unknown persons and that investigations have been started.
