Istanbul : Turkish President Abdullah Gul toured on Wednesday the bloody explosions scene in Istanbul, stressing that his country would spare no effort to combat terrorism.
Gul visited victims at hospitals as Istanbul’s governor Muammer Guler briefed the him on the incident details, noting that the ongoing investigations would track down the orchestrators of the attack and to coordinate between all concerned authorities to contain the situation in the aftermath of the blast.
“There will be no leniency in dealing with the attackers who violated people’s peace and tranquility,” Gul said.
He further expressed his confidence in the ability of Turkish security forces to capture the criminals as soon as possible.
The bloody explosions in Turkey’s biggest city claimed 17 people’s lives and injured more than 154 others as Turkish security forces intensified their efforts to set a comprehensive plan to hunt the attackers.
These attacks falls with heated situations between Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party and the secular party .
