Mumbai : The Bombay High Court Monday rejected a plea by a Mumbai couple who sought to abort their 25-week unborn child because it had a congenital heart defect.
The much-awaited ruling by a division bench comprising Justices P.B. Mujmudar and A.A. Sayyad came after Haresh and Niketa Mehta approached it with the plea that they be permitted to medically terminate their unborn child.
